Terengganu to seal food premises operating outside the hours specified for fasting month - Exco

The Terengganu state government will seal food premises operating outside the hours specified to avoid immoral activities, said State Exco for Communications, Multimedia and Special Functions Ghazali Taib.

He said that like last year, the state government had issued a directive to the religious department in every district to monitor entrepreneurs at the Ramadan bazaars or restaurants so that they complied with the regulations specified during the fasting month.

"We only allow the entrepreneurs to be at the business premises at 2.30pm especially at the Ramadan bazaars because they come to prepare the business sites and the earliest that these premises can operate is at 3pm,"he said.

He was approached by reporters when visiting and giving away his personal contributions to victims whose houses were razed in a fire at Felda Bukit Bading, Ajil here today.
