Generally, it is unfair for the society to shape bad perception towards committed teachers who have been sincere in educating students around the country.
Second Education Minister Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh said in a press statement, that the society should constantly demonstrate their support and encouragement to teachers around the country for their diligence in carrying out their responsibilities and trustworthiness in educating the young.
“The majorities of the teachers are great, hard working and trustworthy. We cannot blame all of the teacher just because after the arrests of individuals allegedly linked to the leaked UPSR exam papers," he said in the statement.
Idris also encouraged the society to mark their support for teachers via the hashtag campaign, appropriately titled #TerimaKasihCikgu launched, today. The campaign is aimed at restoring the faith of Malaysian society towards educators in the country.
