Terrorism shouldn’t only be fought with military assets, police, the law and arrests but it should also be fought with ideological warfare.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said ideological warfare should be a priority in understanding the true meaning and teachings of Islam.
PM Najib also commented on the the recent terror attacks in Kabul, Manchester, Manila, Jakarta and the latest in London.
“It is very sad to see what happened in Kabul, Manchester, London, Marawi, Manila and Jakarta.
"This is a serious threat. Alhamdulillah these (attacks) did not happen in our country,” he said at the Prime Minister's Department monthly gathering on Monday.
Thus, he said the true Islamic teachings should always be applied for a peaceful and prosperous Malaysia.
