The Pilgrims Fund Board or Tabung Haji (TH) expects to receive a full report on the crane crash tragedy in Makkah which killed more than 100 pilgrims including Malaysians, in December.
Its chairman Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim said TH officers would also be going to Saudi Arabia soon to discuss on the disbursement of compensation by the Saudi government to Malaysians involved in the tragedy.
The Saudi Arabian government had agreed to a compensation of RM1.1 for each family of victims who died at the tragedy.
"InsyaAllah (God willing), we will get the report on the tragedy next month," he told reporters at a Deepavali programme with the Indian community of Baling parliamentary constituency Sunday.
Abdul Azeez, who is Baling MP, also presented donations to the community for the Deepavali celebrations next week.
He said every year his office would provide various kinds of assistance, including for the construction of temples and homes for the Indian community, to ensure their wellbeing.
