Hindu devotees heading to the Kallumalai Sri Subramaniam Alayam in Gunung Cheroh here in conjunction with Thaipusam tomorrow can enjoy free shuttle bus service and avoid traffic congestion.
Perak Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department chief SAC T. Selven said two buses would be provided beginning today until Friday, covering from the Perak Stadium towards the Hospital Roundabout.
"The shuttle bus service, operated by Perak Transit Berhad, is something new for this year to help devotees from having to deal with traffic congestion," he told reporters after visiting the temple here today.
Selven said the parking area at the stadium could accommodate up to 10,000 vehicles.
"Visitors need not worry about the safety of their vehicles as police personnel will be stationed at the area," he said.
