'Thank you for reducing the prices of goods', says Ahmad Maslan to traders

Deputy Finance Minister, Datuk Ahmad Maslan expressed his gratitude to traders who reduced the prices of goods sold by them following the drop in fuel price.

“We thank the traders who are not thinking of making too much of profit. This has yet to be evident, however the prices of some goods have dropped,” said Ahmad Maslan who characterised the move as a responsible move.

Ahmad Maslan said this at a time when the public continued to pressure traders to reduce their prices following the reduction in fuel price.

“What we hope is for consumers to make well use of the cash to purchase essential items or to add to their investments,” he added.

He also hoped that traders would continue in their commitment in reducing the prices of goods in line with the drop in fuel price.
