A former maid of Datuk Aliff Syukri Kamarzaman, the founder of D'Herbs product, was charged at the Selayang Magistrate's Court here today for stealing three gold bangles belonging to the millionaire's wife.
Sundari, 40, an Indonesia, pleaded not guilty after the charge was read out by a court interpreter before Magistrate Nurul Izzah Hasan Basri.
The woman was charged with stealing the gold bangles worth RM1,509.14 belonging to Datin Nur Shahida Mohd Rashid at a house in Kampung Damai, Kuang, here at 4am last June 18.
Deputy public prosecutor Nurul 'Ain Shafie appeared for the prosecution, while Sundari was not represented.
The court did not allow bail and fixed July 19 for mention.
On June 20, the media reported that the cosmetics millionaire went into a rage after learning that some of his maids had stolen money and valuables worth RM100,000 from the house.
The case became viral after Aliff Syukri uploaded five videos showing him interrogating the maid, as well as a footage of him dragging the maid to the Sungai Buloh Police Station.
