Three die, including two charred in two-vehicle accident
Three men died with two of their bodies charred, in a two-vehicle accident, at Kampung Gelang Patah here yesterday.

In the incident at about 2.20 pm, the driver of the Proton Iswara, Mohd Suhaimi Mohd Nawi, 19, and his friend Muhammad Faris Zulkifle, 23, died after the car caught fire following a collision with a Proton Wira.
The driver of the Proton Wira, Mohamed Shamsul Zangi, 45, died later at the Pasir Mas hospital.
Chief of operations at the Pasir Mas Fire and Rescue Station, senior fire officer II Azuhan Ibrahim said the department received a call about the incident at 2.34 pm and eight personnel rushed to the scene.
"When we arrived at the scene, we found two of the victims, whose bodies were charred, sandwiched in the car, and it took us about 15 minutes to extricate them after putting out the fire.
"Meanwhile, the victim in the Proton Wira was taken to the Pasir Mas Hospital and confirmed dead while receiving treatment," he told reporters here yesterday.
Muhammad Suhaimi's mother, Maimunah Senik, 41, when met at the Pasir Mas Hospital mortuary, said the second son of five siblings had just returned from Kuala Lumpur where he was looking for a job.
"I accept what has happened. All I know is that throughout his life, he had helped the family a lot," she said.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Syamsul's wife, Noraini Yamin, 44, said her husband was on his way to repair his car at a nearby workshop.
Noraini said she found out about the accident which befell Mohamed Syamsul when she passed by the accident and did not expect that one of the victims was her husband.
