Three friends sent to the gallows for murder of businessman
The accused had committed the crime under Section 302 of the Penal Code between 7pm and 7.45pm at Room 310, Park Avenue Hotel, Taman Sejati Indah in Sungai Petani on September 19, 2011.
Three friends were sent to the gallows by Alor Setar High Court for the murder of a businessman four years ago.
Judicial Commissioner Datuk Mohd Zaki Abdul Wahab sentenced Nor Liana Nor Wahi, 36, photographer Mohd Azeryee Anuar, 32 and security officer, Kamaruddin SK Abdul Halim, 33 after ruling that prosecution had proved the case against them beyond reasonable doubt.
According to the facts of the case, the accused had committed the crime under Section 302 of the Penal Code between 7 and 7.45pm at Room 310, Park Avenue Hotel, Taman Sejati Indah in Sungai Petani on September 19, 2011.
Prosecution was conducted by deputy prosecutor, Naizatul Zima Tajudin while Nor Liana was represented by Rafael Abdullah and the remaining two suspects by Datuk Naran Singh.
Their sentence is effective on a date and place to be confirmed later.
