KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Mohd Noor has confirmed the change of ministers in two senior portfolios of the State Cabinet more than three hours after Oath Taking Ceremony held at the State Palace.
It involved the Ministry of Local Government and Housing and the Ministry of Infrastructure Development.
Hajiji explained that the portfolio of the Sabah Ministry of Infrastructure Development will be borne by Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin who is also the Deputy Chief Minister I.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Local Government and Housing will be held by Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.
"I appointed Masidi who will help in finance, especially to revive Sabah's economy in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic," he said.
The announcement was made in his first press conference at the Chief Minister's Office, here today.
Earlier, Bung who is also the Chairman of Barisan Nasional (BN) was among the three Deputy Chief Ministers in the new Cabinet of the Hajiji-led government.
The Lamaq State Assemblyman (ADUN) was placed under the portfolio of the Ministry of Local Government and Housing.
Masidi, who is also the Deputy Chairman of Parti Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Sabah, was sworn in as Minister of Works.
