Three injured as fire extinguisher explodes

IPOH: Three men were injured, including one who nearly lost his leg, after a fire extinguisher exploded at a premises in Jalan Hussin Nordin, Taman Pearl, here, today.
It is learnt that the incident occurred while the fire extinguisher was being refilled before it suddenly exploded.
The state’s Fire and Rescue Department Operations Centre in a statement said it received an emergency call at 5.09 pm.
"In the incident, two people suffered minor injuries while another victim suffered severe injuries to his right leg.
"The fire and rescue personnel who arrived at the scene were instructed to provide first aid and handed over the victim to the Ministry of Health Malaysia for further action," it said, adding that the operation ended at 5.39 pm.
