Three killed, 15 injured in NSE bus crash

A major accident involving an express bus on the North-South expressway has claimed the lives of three passengers, while 15 other passengers were seriously injured.

The incident occurred at kilometre 420 North-South highway near Bukit Tagar around 3:30 this morning.

According to early reports, the bus was travelling from Johor Bahru heading to Penang and Kedah.

So far, two of the three passengers killed in the accident has been identified as Mohd Zamri Rani, 42 from Kedah, Mohd Ainul Fauzi Mohd Aman, 25 from Simpang Renggam, while the body of a female woman has yet to be identified.

The injured passengers, including the bus driver were rushed to the Sungai Buloh Hospital for further treatment.

This case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
