Three killed in road crash in Kota Tinggi

Three people, including two children, were killed when a Proton Iswara car they were travelling in went out of control and collided with a Mercedes Benz car at KM24 of Jalan Johor Baru-Mersing noon yesterday.
Those killed were identified as Ating Dasa, 25, her nephew, Brigeson Megong, 10, and niece, seven-year-old Laire Tifany Gasah.
Kota Tinggi District Police Chief Supt Che Mahazan Che Aik said Ating, who was driving the car, died at the scene, while the two children died at the Sultan Ismail Hospital.
"Ating was believed to have lost control of the wheel, causing the car t skid and veer into the opposite before colliding with the Mercedes Benz," he said.
He said two other passengers in Proton Iswara car, who are Ating's sons, aged two and four years old, were seriously injured and sent to the same hospital for treatment.
The family is said to be on their way home to the Kota Tinggi Army Training Camp (Pulada), he added.
The driver of the Mercedes Benz, a male, was also seriously injured and sent to the same hospital for treatment.
