Three Malaysian students killed in Jordan road accident identified

The Foreign Ministry has identified the names of the three Malaysian students who were killed in a road accident at Safawi, near Mafraq town in Jordan yesterday morning.
In a statement on Sunday, Wisma Putra revealed that the three were Fatin Ikmal Izyani Che Aziz, Hana' Azaha, and Al Najiatun Nailah Mohd Shafie.
"The next of kins of all the students have been contacted and the necessary arrangements are being made by the embassy," the statement said.
According to the official portal of the Kelantan Undergraduates Union in Jordan (KMKJ), Fatin Iqmal Idziyani hailed from Kuala Lumpur, while Hana' and Al Najiatun Nailah were from Kelantan.
The names had also been confirmed by the Mafraq Government Hospital in Jordan.
Besides that, KMKJ informed that the Malaysian Embassy in Jordan is making arrangements to transfer the two Malaysian students who survived the accident, from the Mafraq Government Hospital to Amma.
The two, Izzam Hasif sustained injuries in the leg and fractured his hand, while Fatin Noor Syahirah sustained face and jaw injuries.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the arrangements were being made with the cooperation of the Jordanian Health Ministry.
All of them were third year students at the University of Mu'tah, located 143km south of Amman.
The students of Jordan's Mu'tah University were in a car on their way to Mafraq for an outreach programme when the accident happened, said ccording to the official Facebook of Education Malaysia Jordan.
A Jordanian citizen was also reported to be in the car.
