Three men detained for trawl fishing at river estuary
MMEA arrested three men, including an Indonesian, for carrying trawl fishing at the Sungai Tuaran estuary.
The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) arrested three men, including an Indonesian, for carrying trawl fishing at the Sungai Tuaran estuary yesterday.
Sabah and Labuan Federal Territory Maritime director First Admiral Mohd Rosli Abdullah said the three men, aged between 24 and 48, who were in a fishing boat were arrested at about 4 pm for breaching their fishing permit.
"The fishing boat was then towed to the MMEA jetty at Sepanggar., " he said in a statement today.
