KOTA BHARU: The Kelantan Health Department (JKNK) has received appeals from three traders who were each slapped with a RM50,000 compound for violating the standard operating procedures (SOP) of the Movement Control Order.
JKNK director Datuk Dr Zaini Hussin said the traders comprised a burger seller, a ‘colek’ seller and a sundry shop owner.
"We have so far received appeals from the three cases, each of which has been issued a RM50,000 compound.
"The Health Office is in the process of submitting the facts of the cases to its headquarters in Putrajaya for further action," he said when contacted today.
Yesterday, Kelantan police chief Datuk Shafien Mamat said that the police would call back the three traders, including the burger seller, who will be offered new compound notices according to the stated guidelines.
