TIME, TM bring broadband 'war' to Facebook
TIME emerged as early bird to the high-speed broadband battle with its 500Mbps package being offered first - File pix
Making fun of business rivals is a common marketing strategy employed by companies.
This time, a supposed tease from local broadband provider TIME Internet to its rival competitor TM led to a Facebook brawl.
It all began with TIME posting:

The posting appeared to be a poke at TM being a step behind in introducing high speed broadband package up to 500Mbps compared to TIME.
It did not go unnoticed and TM duly replied, referring to TIME’s inferior coverage compared to TM:

TIME refused to back down and replied with another thinly veiled taunt that they are more independent between the two:

TM graciously attempted to end the battle with this reply:

TIME welcomed the peace offering humorously by including a music video from Rick Astley’s hit, Together Forever.
