The father of Muhammad Ali Shukran Alias, 8 who was forced to snip the tip of his tongue by his seniors at school, said the boy is recovering from the incident.
He said the Standard Two pupil is now able to eat and is active.
Alias Abdullah, 34, said his talkative son now talks less after the incident.
He said he and his son will be going to the Klang police station to have their statement recorded.
Klang South district ACP Azman Abdul Razak when contacted said police will record statement from the victim once he is in a stable condition.
Police will also record statement from his parents, he said adding that the five nine-year-old pupils who forced him to snip his tongue will have their statements recorded on Monday.
It was reported that in the incident, the pupils had threatened Muhammad Ali that they would beat him up. Out of fear of his own safety, the latter cut his tongue using a pair scissors himself.
His teacher realised the incident when the boy was found with blood while coming out of the toilet.
The case is now under police probe after the victim's mother lodged a report.
