Social media users anxiously waiting for the ‘surprise’ promised by AirAsia Group Chief Executive Officer Tan Sri Tony Fernandes in his tweet last night, were finally furnished with an answer on Friday.
In his tweet at 10am, Tony said he will be giving away free tickets to five best dressed Harimau Malaya fans who posted pictures on Twitter to witness the final match in Bangkok.
This includes their lodging at Tune Hotels in the Thai capital.
Several fans have took up the challenge and replied to Tony with several unique stunts.
On Thursday, the national squad defeated South East Asian powerhouse, Vietnam 4 -2 at Hanoi’s My Dinh Stadium.
Before the match ended, Tony spoke of special flights that will be made available should the Harimau Malaya squad be victorious.
An official statement from AirAsia on the free tickets and lodging will be issued by the budget airline soon.
Malaysia will meet Thailand in the finals, with the first game to be played in Bangkok on Dec 17.
The return leg will take place in Malaysia on the 20th.
