Top 10 Looks On "The Mindy Project"

We know and love her for her nonchalant, slightly ditzy yet lovable role on The Office (US) as Kelly and we have grown to adore her more in the witty, hilarious and upbeat sitcom “The Mindy Project” – unfortunately Mindy Kaling’s sitcom about a smart, colourful yet awkward doctor who gets tangled in several romantic situations has been dropped (cancelled) by FOX. The show is shameless, humorous and just the show women need to feel good about themselves. It is the perfect “girls night in” romantic comedy TV show.

We are hoping that Hulu takes the wheel and there might be a second life for The Mindy Project (fingers crossed).

We decided to pay tribute to the show and take a look at some of Mindy Lahiri's most stylish, eye-popping, glamorous looks!

We love this deep green holiday dress worn by Mindy for the office party scene. Wanting to make sure it sparkled, Salvador Perez (costume designer) commissioned for the dress to be beaded by hand.

Mindy's silver and black houndstooth dress is such an outstanding look - classy, party-ready and sophisticated. We like the metallics on the clutch which so happens to be matching the dress! So ON POINT.

Clashing colours and prints are Mindy's signature go-to options! And this monochrome print on print look screams Blair Waldorf (Gossip Girl) and she even threw on a bright canary yellow coat to give her look some pop of colour! We absolutely adore this combo right down to the pumps and Prada bag.

Neon and neon on neon. We absolutely love this playful, flirty and bold ensemble! Even her earrings are neon. Mindy walked out in this wanting to stop traffic and she definitely did!

Green is Mindy's colour, especially with this preppy Upper East Side look. The checkered peacoat paired with the festive green scarf and dress gave us, "Yale graduate" with taste. Also extra points for the Chanel handbag.

Mindy likes piling on the colour and isn't afraid to take sartorial risks. This pink on pink look really showed us that she was serious about her fashion! From the pink leather biker jacket to the red sequined mini skirt, to her pink Chanel bag - what is there not to love?

Once again, Mindy looks like she raided Barbie's closet with this bright pink ensemble! We love this androgynous look - vest, skirt and tie combo on Mindy. It's quirky, plus throwing in some men’s tailoring always does the job – especially with women’s fabric.

Mindy has the ability to wear a sunny yellow that would (probably) look bizarre and ridiculous on anyone else, but she looks elegant. Case in point: This highlighter bright yellow DKNY trench coat she wore in season 2.

Another one of our favourite looks was this white and blue dress. Just days before, Kaling sported the dress on that week's episode of The Mindy Project—a point that did not go overlooked by the comedienne. "UHH, Miss Duchess Whoever, I WORE this dress last week!" she joked via Instagram. So, she basically has good taste if the Duchess of Cambridge wore the same exact outfit. This L.K. Bennett "Lasa" dress is gorgeous either way.

The glamorous blue sequin dress/skirt combo Mindy wore to a wedding was a headturner! There are very few modern fictional TV ladies whose wardrobes we would love to raid but Mindy Lahiri has fashionable qualities that we admire!

So hopefully the show will be renewed by Hulu so we can continue to bask in the wonder of Mindy's sparkle and shine!
