The second day of Ops Daulat continued today with significant progress. Below is a list of top developments that happened earlier today (March 6), in no particular order:
  • Shooting incidents between the security forces and the armed intruders were reported in three locations in the village of Tanjung Batu.
  • Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi urged the public not to look down at the efforts being carried out by the army and police searching the battle location in Tanduo village.
  • The government has confirmed that 13 armed intruders were killed so far, as the Ops Daulat (Operation Sovereignty) now enters into the second day.
  • A terrorist member from Sulu armed group was shot dead during the early morning ‘Ops Daulat’ operation by security forces in Felda Sahabat 17 in Lahad Datu, Sabah.
  • MCA, in a statement, said it will donate RM2,000 to families of fallen heroes.
  • The Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) will seek a request for the extradition of Jamalul Kiram III from the Philippines, should a case be made against him, said Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail.
