- The morale of the security forces were lifted, as a group of Felda Sahabat settlers risk their lives to help the security forces by providing them food.
- The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) has detained more than 50 people who are suspected to have links with the armed Sulu intruders in East Sabah.
- The Malaysian Defence ministry has thanked the Philippines Defence ministry for its cooperation in solving the ongoing violence in East Sabah.
- The police today urged people not to believe or spread rumours on the ongoing conflict in Sabah.
- A group claiming to represent the Suluk community in Malaysia has threatened to cut ties with their brethren in the Phillipines if the confrontation between the Sulu 'sultanate' militants and Malaysian security forces continues.
- The government's decision not to consider the request for a truce from the group of armed militants that had intruded into Sabah last Feb 12 was received favourably by observers who also wanted them to be flushed out immediately.
