The incident, involving the four women, believed to be foreigners, who were reported to have sunbathed topless at Saujana Beach Batu 4 here yesterday is an isolated case.
Port Dickson Municipal Council (MPPD) chairman Datuk Ab Khalid Mat, however, said MPPD viewed the matter seriously and was currently conducting an investigation.
"We hope members of the public, who saw incidents such as this one in any places in Port Dickson will immediately lodge a report to the authorities for further action," he said when contacted here today.
He said bathing topless in public places is an offence.
Police, meanwhile, are in the process of identifying those involved after receiving a police report at 8.30pm yesterday.
State acting Criminal Investigation chief Khoo Leng Huat, who confirmed receiving the report, said the case was being investigated under section 294 (a) of the Penal Code and section 509 of the Penal Code.
In the 2pm incident, the women, believed to be in their 20s and 30s, were sunbathing on a mat at the beach under the hot weather.
However a visitor, who was bathing there became aware of their behaviour and recorded the incident.
