Traffic from Bangi to Kajang grinds to a crawl
Traffic was reported to be at a crawl between Bangi and Kajang on the North-South Expressway (NSE) this afternoon because of a four-vehicle pile up.
A PLUS Expressways Bhd spokesman said one lane had to be closed at KM300 of the expressway because of the pile-up which resulted in the congestion.
Traffic was also reported to be slow moving from Nilai to Seremban because of a minor accident at KM275.4 of the highway and between Yong Peng and Air Hitam due to a car that had broken down.
In the north, the situation was said to be the same between Sungkai and Bidor because of a higher volume of traffic.
Meanwhile, a Malaysian Highway Authority spokesman said traffic was heavy from the Gombak toll plaza and Karak on the East Coast Highway in view of the "balik kampung" rush in conjunction with the Chinese New Year festive season.
