Traffic slow along major highways - MHA/PLUS

Traffic flow along major routes to the east coast and north of the peninsula as of 10am is reported to be slow in both directions.
A Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA) spokesman said the chockablock stretching from the Gombak toll plaza to Lentang began to build up about 3am and is expected to persist till late this evening.
Nevertheless, he said, traffic flow along other routes to the east coast including East Coast Expressway 2 was reported to be smooth.
Meanwhile, a PLUS Malaysia Berhad spokesman said traffic congestion towards north involved the stretch from Jelapang-Menora Tunnel to Sungai Perak.
He said the situation was similar from Tapah-Gopeng, Bidor-Tapah and Slim River-Sungkai.
Traffic towards the south of the peninsula is reported to be smooth as at 10am.
