The public is urged to be wary of touts who claim that they can settle traffic summonses at a discount.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Noor Rashid Ibrahim said there is no such thing as "middlemen" to settle summonses.
"Payments can only be made at the counters to settle summonses," he told reporters after attending an appreciation ceremony at the Police Training Training Centre here last night.
He said police would be coming down hard on touts who acted as middlemen to settles summonses for others.
