Former Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, has described the fall of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government as a result of 'traitors' who have betrayed the party.
The Pandan Member of Parliament (MP) said that greed and a sense of inadequacy of what one already had, also contributed to PH's downfall.
“Traitors are not acceptable under any circumstances.
"Some of them are insatiable or dissatisfied and they may want more and that is what I think led to the defeat of PH," she said in an interview in a show broadcast by Bloomberg on Tuesday.
Dr Wan Azizah believes in the principle of goodwill to make Malaysia better.
“But not all is lost because there are many of us who believe in the principles of goodwill that can make Malaysia better. This is what I feel and I have fought for all this time,” she said.
Dr Wan Azizah was also asked on who should be chosen as the new leader of the PH.
Obviously, she said, they needed to have a meeting to select the right leader.
"I think we need to meet first.
"However, I think it should be held by Anwar (Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim)," she said.
