Transferred MACC officers to meet PSD DG, Chief Sec today

The two senior officers of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) who were immediately transferred to the Prime Minister's Department two days ago will meet with
(PSD) director-general, Tan Sri Mohamad Zabidi Zainal and Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa today to discuss their transfers.
Following this development, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim has urged all parties to remain calm as the issue could be resolved amicably.
"I am convinced that although this is an administrative matter, the government can resolve it. We do not want the public to lose faith in the government enforcement agencies," he said at a press conference after chairing the state UMNO Liaison Committee meeting, here, Sunday.
was commenting on the recent transfer of two MACC officers, the director of its Special Operations Division, Datuk Bahri Mohamad Zin and director of its Strategic Communications, Datuk Rohaizad Yaakob.

In SHAH ALAM, Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron urged all UMNO members not to make any statements on the transfer of the MACC senior officers to avoid unwarranted reactions.
He said the transfers should be accepted rationally as it was a normal process, as stated by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Speaking to reporters after opening the Kota Raja UMNO division delegates' meeting Sunday, Idris said UMNO members should be united in fighting off current political challenges and not quarrel among themselves.
