Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has conveyed his condolences to the families and friends of the victims of the Trigana Air passenger plane that crashed in the Bintang Mountains province in Papua, Sunday.
A search and rescue (SAR) team recovered the bodies yesterday, including those of the five crew members of the commercial flight.
"Discovery of the Trigana Air plane yesterday with no survivors marks another aviation tragedy. My condolences to their families and friends," tweeted Najib.
Indonesian media quoted Indonesia's National SAR Body (Basarnas) deputy director of operations Heronimus Guru as saying the team was in the midst of retrieving the bodies out of the forested mountain area.
