Trio detained for attempted robbery at goldsmith shop

Police detained three men aremed with a pistol and hammers in a robbery at a goldsmith shop in Jalan Lahat yesterday.
Perak police chief Datuk Mohamad Shukri Dahalan said in the 3.30pm incident, one of the robbers managed to escape with handful of jewellery.
"The masked robbers tried to get away on two motorcycles but were hit by a police patrol car and three were later caught," he said.
He said police found a pistol with four bullets used by one of the robbers at the premises earlier.
He said investigation found the two motorcycles used by the robbers were reported missing in Shah Alam.
The three suspects aged between 20 and 30 years were remanded for a week for further investigation.
