Former premier, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad today expressed his disappointment over the country's current leadership led by Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
Dr Mahathir in his latest entry on chedet.cc stressed mainly on Najib’s mistakes in drawing up ways of gaining the peoples support and leading the country.
He also added that Najib had wasted much of the country’s finances when he failed to prioritise the value of a mega project.
“Najib had failed in many aspects after becoming the Prime Minister. Apart from the crooked bridge, he also dropped the Johor Bahru to Padang Besar double-track project which as due to be completed in 2010.
“He later recruited several British consultants to advise him on ways to govern the country.
“We achived independence in 1957 and we did away with British advisors. We are better without them. Najib seems to not believe the Malaysian people’s ability in developing the country,” stated Dr Mahathir.
The premier was also disappointed with several decisions made by Najib which caused many party supporters to stop voting.
He added that the decisions made had caused several government people to support the Opposition.
“He had also established an agency led by ‘non government people’ to develop the country which caused anger among government people.
“They had, before this helped in the country’s development. However now, it seems that their experience and expertise are no longer needed,” said Dr Mahathir.
Dr Mahathir ended his entry with a question on the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) and added more explanation on the issue will be given in his next entry.
