Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was not in the majority support list as he claimed.
However, Anwar said Dr Mahathir's participation with his new party, Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang) will be determined later.
"He (Dr Mahathir) is not on the majority support list.
"He will probably make a decision later.
"For now, he is not included," he said at an emergency press conference at a hotel here today.
Earlier, he claimed to have a formidable majority to form a new government in the near future.
He said the support obtained was from various parties but did not reveal any further details.
Anwar asserted that he had obtained consent to have an audience with Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah on Tuesday at 11 am, but had to be postponed due to His Majesty’s treatment at the National Heart Institute (IJN).
