Tun Rahah, 87 dies

KUALA LUMPUR: The widow of the second prime minister, Tun Abdul Razak Hussein, Tun Rahah Tan Sri Mohamed Noah, passed away at 4.45pm on Friday (Dec 18) at the Prince Court Medical Center in Kuala Lumpur.
The news of Tun Rahah's passing, who was 87 years old, was confirmed by Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak through his official Twitter account:

Innalillahwainnailaihirojiun. Bonda saya sudah tiada. Kami sekeluarga di hospital. Kesedihan dan air mata mengalir. Tiada kata-kata untuk kehilangan ini.

The sad news was also, among others, expressed by Barisan Nasional (BN) Secretary General, Tan Sri Annuar Musa through a tweet on his official Twitter account:

Tun Rahah is the mother of Najib, Malaysia's former Prime Minister.
Tun Rahah was survived by four children including former CIMB Group Chairman, Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazir Razak.
Earlier, Tun Rahah who was informed to be in an unhealthy condition at the hospital received visits from several dignitaries, Cabinet Ministers and VVIPs.
In a sharing on Facebook earlier today, Najib prayed and paid tribute to the visits of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and the Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah.
