Tunku Bendahara of Kedah laid to rest

The body of Tunku Bendahara of Kedah and Kedah Regency Council chairman, Tan Sri Tunku Annuar Sultan Badlishah, who died early Wednesday, was laid to rest at the Langgar Royal Mausoleum near here in the evening.
Present at the Royal Mausoleum were the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah, Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajjah Haminah, Tunku Annuar's wife, Toh Puan Bendahara Kedah Puan Seri Nor Suzana Abdullah, Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Tun Dr Mahathir and Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom.
The body of the Tunku Bendahara, who was the younger brother of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, was brought in a carriage about 20km from Istana Anak Bukit here at 3.40pm and arrived at the Royal Mausoleum at 5.15pm.
At 5.30pm, the body was laid in a grave. The burial ceremony was completed at 6.30pm.
Tunku Annuar, 75, died at the Pantai Hospital in Ipoh, Perak at 12.20am.
