KUALA LUMPUR:Televisyen Media Prima Berhad has postponed the debate between Urban Well-being, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan and Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng.
The TV3 live debate was arranged to be held this Tuesday.
Current Affairs and News group managing editor Datuk Seri Mohd Ashraf Abdullah said the decision was made after considering Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar and Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission investigation director Datuk Azam Baki's advice.
"TV3 respects Tan Sri Khalid and Datuk Azam's views that the debate might disturb authorities' investigations into the controversy surrounding Taman Manggis and bungalow owned by Lim in Penang," he said in a statement here today.
He said the new date for the debate would be announced in due course.
Taman Manggis became a controversy when Abdul Rahman made a claim that the Penang state government under DAP had sold the land originally marked for an affordable housing project, to a private company.
