Twin Towers@Live concert cancelled
The Twin Towers@Live 2014 concert scheduled to be held here on March 28 and 29 has been cancelled.
According to a statement from Petronas on Tuesday, the decision was made unanimously together with other sponsors and concert organiser, Live @ Work Sdn Bhd, as a sign of respect to the families, friends and loved ones of the passengers and crew of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.
"We are truly saddened by the tragedy and offer our deepest condolences to them and as sponsors, we will honour our obligation to ensure all related parties impacted by this cancellation be treated fairly," the statement said.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak announced Monday night that the flight MH370, which disappeared over the South China Sea while flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8, had "ended in the southern Indian Ocean".
The Boeing 777-200ER aircraft, with 227 passengers and 12 crew on board, had left the KL International Airport at 12.41 am. It was scheduled to arrive in Beijing at 6.30 am (Malaysian time) on the same day.
