Two boys drowned and one of their friends was rescued by a team of firemen who happened to be passing through the Sungai Bancenal area.
Two boys drowned and one of their friends was rescued by a team of firemen who happened to be passing through the Sungai Bancenal area, Kunci Air , Tanjong Karang, near here, Wednesday morning.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations, Mohd Sani Harul said the two boys who drowned were Mohammad Akmal Munawir and Mohammad Hafiz Arbain, while their friend who was rescued is Raja Muhammad Hazik Raja Hasrizal.
He said in the 11.10 incident, the three teenagers, aged 14, to have been bathing in the river.
A team of firemen from the Tanjong Karang Fire Station who were returning after a safety study session of a building in a school near Homestay Sungai Sireh, saw the three teens struggling in the water and immediately rushed to provide emergency aid.
"Only one of the victims was able to be rescued and two others who had gone missing in the river were found several minutes later in the same area," he said when contacted here today.
He said Raja Muhammad Hazik was sent to Tanjong Karang Hospital for further treatment and the remains of the two boys were also sent to the same hospital.
