Two charred bodies found in house fire in Tenom

A 20-year-old woman and a three-year-old boy were found burnt in a house fire at the Housing Programme for the Hardcore Poor (PPRT) in Kampung Pamaluyan, Tenom, today.
The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department in a statement said two engines with 16 firemen rushed to the scene, about 30 kilometres from the Tenom fire and rescue station, after receiving a distress call at 8.08 am and arrived there half an hour later.
"The firemen managed to control the fire at 9 am and following a check, found two charred bodies in the living room of the house," it said.
The department was investigation the cause of the fire and losses incurred in the incident.
