An Indonesian maid was reported to have killed two children before taking her own life at a house in Taman Sri Putra, Sungai Buloh, late Tuesday evening.
Initial investigation found the maid to have slashed the necks of the two children, aged between two to five years.
According to a source, the incident was only realised by their grandmother when she entered the bedroom.
Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Mohd Adnan Abdullah said investigations are on-going and the police are still waiting for forensic report.
He urged the public not to speculate on the incident.
Meanwhile, Sungai Buloh District Police chief Supt Junaidi Bujang said the incident was believed to have happened between 8am to 6pm when both the parents and family members were out.
“The incident was only realised by the children’ grandmother when returned home. She found the 18-months-old baby and the maid’s body in the maid’s room,” he said.
“Another grandchild, aged five, was found dead in another room,” he said.
Junaidi said police investigation found that the 30-year-old maid who have worked for the family for the past two years had killed the children before taking her own life.
He said the bodies were taken to Sungai Buloh Hospital and added that the police found three knives, believed to have been used for the murder.
