Two dead in car-trailer collision on Jalan Salak-Sepang road

The driver and a passenger of a Perodua Myvi car were killed when their vehicle collided with a trailer here today.
Sepang acting police chief Supt Abdul Aziz Ali said the incident at KM5 of Jalan Salak-Sepang occurred near the Kampung Felda LBJ junction at about 2.30pm.
The victims were identified as S. Manickam, 23, of Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan and M. Pavitheran, 20, of Sungai Pelek here.
Abdul Aziz said the victims were on their way from Sepang to Salak and at the location, the driver tried to overtake a Proton Waja but failed.
"The Myvi then crashed into the back of a Proton Preve car in front of the Waja before spinning out of control into the opposite lane and colliding with the trailer," he said when contacted by Bernama.
He said both victims died at the scene and their bodies were sent to the Putrajaya Hospital.
The drivers of the Waja, Preve and trailer were unhurt.
Meanwhile, Sepang Fire and Rescue station senior officer Hut Ibrahim said one fire engine each from Sepang and Nilai with 14 personnel rushed to the scene upon receiving information on the accident.
He said firemen took about 10 minutes to extricate the bodies from the wrecked car.
