Two detained over Air Asia X executive's death
The police have detained two suspects who are believed to be involved in the death of AirAsia X ground executive Shahrinawati Abu Bakar last week.
The suspects, a 22-year-old unemployed man and a 25-year-old bus driver, were picked up by the police at Taman Muhibbah and Taman Cempaka respectively.
Ampang Jaya police Chief ACP Amiruddin Jamaluddin said the duo tested positive for drugs.
“The first suspect would be remanded until Sept 5 while the second suspect would be remanded until Sept 10, to facilitate investigations.
The 30-year-old airline executive who had just returned from work, was mowed down by a motorist who was going to her aid after he witnessed two men attempting to rob her at the car park of the Palm Villa City Garden Condo in Taman Cempaka.
