BUTTERWORTH:Two men were detained for drink driving in an operation by the police here early today.
Seberang Perai Utara (SPU) district police chief ACP Noorzainy Mohd Noor said the drunk drivers, aged 51 and 33, were detained at Jalan Chain Ferry and Butterworth Outer Ring Road, respectively.
Breathalyser test conducted on them found alcohol in their blood to be above the permitted level, he told reporters here today.
He said the two men, who are now in remand, were among 200 motorists who were inspected during the operation which ended at 6 am today.
