Two killed in delivery man's stabbing spree

A man ran amok in Gombak and Taman Melati Thursday morning, killing two men and injuring two women.
The 11.20am incident happened when the van driver, who was transporting cigarettes, dropped by at a grocery shop near the Taman Gombak LRT station.
The man, armed with a knife, suddenly started stabbing the 60-year-old grocery shop owner and her female worker, a 40-year-old Indonesian.
The victims were severely injured and are currently being treated at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
The man, believed to be mentally unstable, then drove his van to the Taman Melati LRT station and rammed his vehicle into another van.
The suspect then got out from his van and stabbed the driver of the other van several times in the chest, killing him at the scene.
The victim was identified as 40-year-old Lee Ah Ghee from Taman Segambut Indah.
The suspect then drove on to Jalan Tumbuhan and collided with a Toyota Prius which was driven by a 25-year-old male student and stabbed him to death as well.
According to City Police CID deputy chief Asst Comm, ACP Khairi Ahrasa, the 26-year old suspect is currently being treated for injuries suffered from the scuffles he had with the public when they tried to apprehend him.
The police have so far seized a Rambo knife used by the suspect, who hails from Felda Pemanis in Segamat, Johor during the incidents.
The bodies were also sent to KL Hospital for post-mortem.
