Two local men shot dead near FRIM, Kepong

Two Malaysian men, believed to be members of a gang, were shot dead by the police near the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia (FRIM), Kepong, early this morning.
Selangor CID chief Datuk Mohd Adnan Abdullah confirmed the 4am incident, adding that the two were shot in the Ops Cantas Khas 2 operation.
He said in the incident, police noticed a car being driven in a suspicious manner and tried to chase it after it attempted to crash through a road block.
He said during the chase, the car rammed into a police car before skidding and crashing into a tree.
“The two men then got out of their car and fired several shots at policemen, forcing the team to return fire,” he told reporters.
Mohd Adnan said police also found a revolver with three live bullets and three spent casings in its chambers; and a Beretta semi-automatic pistol.
Police also found 11 packets of drugs during checks on the suspects' bodies and the car."
The bodies were sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for post-mortem.
