The two Malaysian tourists injured in a shootout in Jordan between security forces and a group of armed men on Sunday were only slightly hurt, according to the Foreign Ministry.
A spokesman said today they were injured by glass fragments during the shootout, which occurred at Karak Castle.
"Both of them received treatment at a nearby hospital and are reported to be safe.
"They were in a bus touring the town of Karak and happened to pass by the scene of the incident," he said to Bernama.
It was reported that the attack on Karak Castle in Karak town, 132km south of the Jordanian capital city of Amman, resulted in the death of at least nine people - a Canadian woman tourist, three local civilians and five policemen. - Bernama
