Two medical centres will be set up by the Pilgrims Fund Board (Tabung Haji-TH) to see to the health and medical needs of 22,320 Malaysians during the coming haj pilgrimage season.
The medical centre in Madinah will operate at the Al-Jaffrey Tabung Haji building, while the one here will be located near the stone-throwing area in Mina.
TH Haj Consul Datuk Redhuan Sabaruddin said 16 specialists, 31 doctors and a dentist will be brought from Malaysia by TH.
"We are bringing this team from Malaysia to serve the Malaysian haj pilgrims, with the cooperation of Health Ministry," said Redhuan, adding that they are a part of a team of 250 medical personnel.
Speaking to the Malaysian media at the TH medical centre here today, Redhuan said, clinics would also be available at all "maktab" (accommodation places for pilgrims).
