Two missing children found trapped in lift

KUALA LUMPUR: Two boys, aged 10 and 11 respectively, who were reported missing since yesterday afternoon were found safe at midnight after being trapped in an apartment elevator in Taman Desa Petaling, Cheras.
Cheras district police chief ASP Ravindar Singh Sarban Singh said the two children were reported missing at 9.26 pm when they did not return home after going out to buy food at about 2 pm.
"At 12.30 pm, following checks on the closed-circuit television, the apartment management found the two victims trapped in the elevator on the fourth floor," he said in a statement today.
He also said the two victims were believed to be have been trapped in the elevator for about nine hours before the apartment management managed to get them out safely.
He added that both victims have been handed over to their respective families.
