Two more bodies brought out from Wang Kelian forest

The remains of two more bodies, believed to be victims of human trafficking, were taken out from a temporary camp at the Wang Burma hill forest at the border with Thailand at noon today.
Inspector-General of Police Secretariat assistant head (Corporate Communications), ACP Datin Asmawati Ahmad said both bodies, which were completely wrapped in white cloth, were brought out at 12.15 pm.
"The remains were found near another grave dug out yesterday. Both bodies were sent to Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital at 3.10pm," she said in a statement here today.
With the latest discoveries today, the remains of four victims have been recovered so far. The first body was found on Monday while the second yesterday.
On Monday, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar had announced the discovery of 139 graves in 28 camps of human trafficking syndicates between Kampung Wai in Kuala Perlis to Tangga 100 at Felda Lubuk Sireh, stretching over 11 kilometres.
According to the statement, the operation conducted by a forensics team from the CID and General Operations Force would continue to find more locations of illegal immigrant graves and exhume the bodies found.
