The police have detained two more people to facilitate investigations into last month's murder of Pahang Islamic Religious Department (Jaip) enforcement chief Mohd Raffli Abdul Malik.
The suspects were nabbed at an unnumbered house in Kampung Tagasan, Semporna about 1pm, Monday.
Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Hamza Taib, when contacted by Bernama, confirmed the arrests. He declined to elaborate.
On Saturday, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said the police were in the midst of tracking down 10 people in connection with the killing of 49-year-old Mohd Raffli.
Earlier, Khalid announced through his Twitter that the police had solved the murder case with the arrest of 13 deviant teaching group followers and seized a pistol, believed to be related to the case.
On Nov 20, the head of the deviant teaching group, Harun Mat Saat, 47, also known as 'Tuhan Harun', was caught with a woman in a raid at a house in Tangkak, Muar, Johor.
Harun was wanted by the police to shed light on the killing of Mohd Raffli on Nov 10.
In the incident, the victim was shot dead by one of three people who came to his house in Kuantan, Pahang, on the pretext of visiting him.
