Two policemen given final respect

The bodies of the two policemen killed during a shooting at Semporna on Saturday arrived in Subang around 7pm on Monday.
The bodies of the late Superintendant Ibrahim Lebar, 52, and Lance Corporal Mohd. Azrul Tukiran, 27, were flown to the Royal Malaysia Air Force (RMAF) base in Subang from Tawau Airport.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his deputy Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin were present.
Former Prime Minister YAB Tun Dr. Mahathir was also present to pay his last respect to the country’s heroes.
In the incident, Ibrahim and Azrul died in an attack when they were doing investigation work at Kampung Seri Jaya, Simunul, Semporna upon hearing that a group of armed forces were hiding in the village.
Ibrahim will be buried at a cemetery in USJ 20, Subang Jaya while Azrul will be buried at the Jalan Shapadu Muslim Cemetery in Kampung Panjang, Klang.
